PartSites

Company

The Parts.com originals.

The team behind Parts.com kept building. Today, that experience powers PartSites for franchised dealers.

The beginning

Before parts commerce had a playbook.

In 1994, Scott Anderson founded UEP Interactive Inc., one of the earliest automotive parts e-commerce platforms. The work began with a simple idea: make complex OEM parts information useful online.

From Parts.com to PartSites.

The products changed. The purpose stayed focused on dealer-driven OEM parts commerce.

  1. UEP Interactive begins

Scott Anderson founded one of the earliest automotive parts e-commerce platforms, years before online retail became standard dealership infrastructure.

  2. Parts.com launches

UEP joined the public company that launched Parts.com, which grew into a leading online destination for OEM automotive parts.

  3. TradeMotion takes shape

The team moved OEM cataloging and direct-to-consumer parts commerce into a white-label SaaS platform built for automakers and dealers.

  4. SmartDealer takes form

Scott acquired AsyncUp and PartsWebsites, bringing the businesses together under SmartDealer Technologies and rebuilding the dealer-commerce platform as PartSites.

  5. 3D and AR enter the platform

SmartDealer launched ENGAGE360, bringing browser-based 3D visualization and augmented reality into the in-store accessory sales experience.

  6. Ford and J.D. Power program

The team was selected to build the 3D accessory visualizer for Ford's Digital Storefront Solution through J.D. Power.
